I happened to be watching the Scripts Spelling Bee today and realized that most of the final contestants were of a similar ethic group. Now the analytics thoughts rampaging through my head at this current moment is "What causes this distribution". Is this particular ethic groups brain more geared toward being successful spellers? Are these individuals more likely to have parents who put them through more rigorous educational upbringings that skew their spelling abilities. Are the entrants mostly comprised of this group? If its a matter of time commitment to studying the words is this group just putting in more time? Can the training regime be replicated in other ethic groups to shift patterns. In a Country where this group clearly isnt the majority why isnt the funneled down impact from demographic distribution represented in this event. What variables are causing this, help me before my brain explodes?
